The Bachelor (2002)

Week One (S1)

In the premiere episode, we meet the Bachelor, Alex, and learn about his past. Alex then hosts a cocktail party and is introduced to the women for the first time. By the end of the evening, he faces the daunting task of selecting 15 whom he would like to know better, and presents each one with a single red rose. But at this point and at every point thereafter, the women can either accept or decline the Bachelor's invitation to continue on the journey. After much deliberation, Alex offered a rose to Kim, Cathy, Trista, Amy, Alexa, LaNease, Tina, Angelique, Rhonda, Christina, Katie, Amanda, Angela, Melissa and Shannon. The women who accepted the rose will now move into a sprawling mansion overlooking the Pacific Ocean for much of their courtship with the Bachelor.

Bachelor Live: Week 2

First Date: Angelique, LaNease, Shannon, Kathryn, Christina Alex's first date was to Las Vegas for a night of gaming and pleasure. While playing billiards in the penthouse suite at the Venetian hotel, Angelique made a power move and asked to see Alex in private. When the other four ladies realized that Angelique was out-smarting them, they crashed the party. During dinner, Alex asked Shannon if she would go for a walk with him — in front of his other shocked dates. During their walk, Alex told Shannon he felt a connection with her. Alex and his dates then went and played Blackjack in the casino; the date with the most money after twenty minutes would get a private gondola trip down the Venetian canal with Alex. LaNease won, and as they got in the gondola, the gondolier told them that it was tradition to have a kiss under each bridge they passed under. We meet Alex's friends Stephanie and Sam, who move into the guest house at the Ladies' Villa. Stephanie and Sam have created a compatibility test to give the remaining eight ladies, with a very special prize: the three women whose answers are the most compatible with Alex's will get private one-on-one dates with Alex. The other five women will share Alex in one group date. First Date: Amanda Amanda won the first date, and the sparks were very clearly flying. In the limousine on the way to their Sushi & Massage date, Alex and Amanda just couldn't deny their mutual attraction, and ended up making out. During dinner, Amanda and Alex again kiss passionately, but are interrupted by a shocked and bewildered waitress. Later, they both change into Kimonos, and Alex gives Amanda a sensual massage. Alex makes a point, though, of not going to far with Amanda sexually, as he is aware that living for the moment may cause him to miss an entire future. The remaining four Bachelorettes all get a chance to say goodbye, as they vacate the Ladies' Villa to return to their hometowns and introduce Alex to their families and friends. First Trip: Kim Knowing he hasn't spent very much one-on-one time with Kim, Alex arrives in Phoenix, Arizona and makes a point of getting some private time with her … and the two go speed boating on a lake! They had a great time, and even managed to sneak in a kiss or three. Afterwards, it was on to Kim's parent's house to meet the family. Alex got to spend time with Kim's mom, dad, two sisters, brother-in-law, niece and nephew. It was important to Kim to see if Alex connected well with kids, which he seemed to — up until he accidentally made her nephew cry by playing with him a little too rough. The rest of the visit was pleasant, as Alex seemed to connect well with his date's family. We open in Malibu, where Alex is looking forward to the overnight dates and the opportunity to spend some real time with each of the remaining bachelorettes, but is worried about the upcoming Rose Ceremony. First Dream Date: Amanda in New York City Amanda is thrilled to have the chance to get closer to Alex, and this is her first time going to New York City. While taking a double-decker bus tour through the city, Alex asks some questions to Amanda — including asking her about her breasts. Amanda takes the question in stride, and admits that when she was a child, she was obsessed with Dolly Parton, and that she had an augmentation. This special episode will reveal new footage, never before viewed behind-the-scenes clips, and one-on-one interviews between our favorite Bachelorettes and host, Chris Harrison.

Week Six (S1)

In Dallas, Texas, Alex explains how he feels good about the final two women he's dating — but can't wait to find out what his family thinks of Amanda and Trista. Alex first brings Trista home to meet his folks. Alex admits that his family is a tough group, and that his mother thinks it is too short of a time period to get to know someone. Trista and Alex arrive, and they sit down in the living room for everyone to get to know each other. Alex's sister gets the ball rolling by asking Trista why she thinks they're compatible; Trista explains that she was impressed by his love of family, his love of travel, his attention to education, his innate athleticism, and his kindness and strength in uncomfortable situations. In the premiere episode, we see the final stages of the casting process as the quest to find the next Bachelor draws to a close. We are introduced to the final five possible bachelors: Mark, Jason, Robert, Aaron and John. We are then introduced to the twenty-five Bachelorettes who will be vying for the Bachelor's attention, and brought up to date on Trista, who will be on her own quest for love as The Bachelorette this January. In an exclusive interview with Alex and Amanda, we learn that they are still together, even though Amanda is still in Kansas City, and Alex is in Los Angeles. Amanda and Alex also debunk the rumors Alex is gay once and for all. Amanda advises the next Bachelor not to make out with every girl he dates, and Alex advises him to not think too much. In the season premiere, we get to meet Aaron again, and learn what motivated him to take his quest for love on to television. As Aaron puts it, ""the timing couldn't be better."" Aaron claims he is a full 180-degrees from Alex, the first Bachelor, and will not be misleading like Alex was. Aaron admits he would have liked to have seen a proposal from Alex, and when Chris asks him, Aaron says several weeks from now, he could see himself popping the question. Aaron is then introduced to each of the 25 Bachelorettes, as he welcomes them to the first night party. As Alex makes the rounds, Erin points out that Liangy and some of the other girls have really isolated themselves from the group. After that, Aaron must present roses to the ten women whom he'd like to continue dating Episode 2 begins with Chris telling the Bachelorettes they need to be packed before each Rose Ceremony. Some will be lucky enough to have one-on-one dates with Aaron, but others will not — which naturally sparks some jealousy in the Ladies' Villa. Aaron's friends Melissa and Ryan (siblings to each other) arrive at the Ladies' Villa, and move in for a few days, to get the inside scoop on the ladies. They immediately give a quiz to the women, with two one-on-one dates at stake. First Individual Date: Heather Spa Evening in Santa Barbara The other ladies are surprised when Heather gets the first date box, as they don't see Aaron and Heather together. Aaron expects that she will be very forward and try to kiss him, based on what she said in the previous night's video diary. They take a helicopter up to Santa Barbara, and Heather is smitten by Aaron — she says that she finally knows what love means. As the four ladies prepare to take Aaron home to meet their families, they must also say goodbye to each other and move out of the Ladies' Villa. The ladies are greeted by Chris, who gives them a chance to say goodbye to each other and the Ladie's Villa, as they are moving out. The individual dates will begin with Aaron flying to each ladies' hometown to meet their parents. First Trip: Buffalo to meet Gwen Aaron meets Gwen, and they drive through Buffalo on the way to meet her parents Marie and Phil, her sister Mary Beth, and her friend Louise. Trish becomes very nervous as Jenny knows what she's really like. 1st One-on-one Date is a Football Field Picnic with Jessica B: They share a long passionate kiss on their date at the Rose Bowl. 2nd One-on-one Date is a cruise and dinner with Mandy J: They share a kiss at sunset on their cruise to Newport Beach then later get into a hot tub. Group Date is an Indian Picnic and an Elephant Ride with Karen, Trish, and Suzie: Trish tries to explain herself to Jesse by pulling him aside on this date, which seems to work as Jesse kisses her not once but twice while alone. In this episode Jesse spends a fantasy overnight date with each of the remaining three women. 1st Fantasy Date is in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada with Tara: During this date Jesse and Tara enjoy a carriage ride through the city, ice skating, champagne in an ice castle, a romantic candle-lit dinner, and finally a night alone in their bedroom where the cameras do not follow. 2nd Fantasy Date is in Adros, Bahamas with Jessica B.: During this date Jesse and Jessica enjoy a day at the beach filled with fun in the sun and in the water. We are introduced to Byron and Jay. They get to meet and get to know a little bit more about each other when videos are shown about both of them. The women arrive and go chill out together, all the while being spied on by the bachelors who are watching them on a TV. Then Chris Harrison tells them he's bringing out the Bachelor, right now! Out walks Jay and then to everyone's surprise, Byron comes out! Chris then explains the new concept to the women and then sets the bachelors loose on the women. Everyone mingles, some women already know who they like while others are torn between the two guys. Later everyone goes to get ready for the first women's rose ceremony. "The Bachelor: Rome," the ninth season, begins an all new adventure as Prince Lorenzo Borghese meets the 25 women who will compete for his affections.

Week Two (S9)

Lorenzo takes some of the women to the Mediterranean sea for a beach party, some through the city of Rome to see the sites and one gets the first individual date in Borghese Park. Nine bachelorettes move on to the next round.

Week Three (S9)

Lorenzo takes one women to a romantic date at the opera, six to a sleep over pool party in a Tuscan castle and two back to his place for an intimate date over pizza. With nine women left, only six will be asked to stay.

Week Four (S9)

A bachelorette returns to give the remaining women a "truth exercise" deciding the next round of dates. Lorenzo takes one woman to see the sites in a fairy tale carriage ride, one gets a private plane ride with Lorenzo at the helm and the rest of the women race chariots in ancient Rome style. In the end, Lorenzo must send two women home rose-less.

With a few surprises in store, the four remaining ladies take Lorenzo to their hometowns to meet their families and close friends. Three women continue.

Single dad, Jason Mesnick, is the thirteenth bachelor who will choose from 25 women in his quest to find true love. Mesnick is best known for being rejected by DeAnna Pappas in 2008's edition of The Bachelorette.

Week 2 (S13)

There are 15 remaining ladies and they enjoy a pool party with Jason. The bachelor then escorts one lucky lady to the Walt Disney Concert Hall for a private performance by Robin Thicke. Jason has a group date above Sunset Strip where one contestant eliminates herself before the rose ceremony.

Week 3 (S13)

12 ladies remain and only 10 ladies will be going on dates. There is one group date to visit the Keep-a-Breast foundation and there are two one-on-one dates. One lucky lady sees a special performance by Kate Voegele. At the elimination, the field is reduced to 9.

Week 4 (S13)

There are nine remaining ladies vying for Jason. The bachelorettes compete in a live singing competition for a one-on-one date. Also, there is a group date with a visit to the set of General Hospital. Finally, there is a two-on-one where one lady is sent home.

Week 5 (S13)

Jason takes the five remaining ladies home to Seattle. One lucky lady spends an evening with Jason on a houseboat. Another lady is lucky enough to take a seaplane ride with Jason. Finally, Jason takes the final three ladies on a ferry ride. At the elimination, one lady is sent home as the final four prepare to take Jason home with them.

Jason takes the final four ladies to their hometowns to meet their families. At one stop, Jason must settle and meet the bachelorette's best friends instead of her publicity shy parents. At other stops, Jason learns a secret about one of the ladies and later runs into skepticism from one of the dads. At the elimination, one lady is sent home in tears.

Week 3

Sean takes the ladies to Malibu for a game of beach volleyball, after which the winners spend the evening with him and the losers return to the mansion. Elsewhere, one of his romantic encounters has the potential to break a world record for the longest on-screen kiss. Thirteen women remain after the rose ceremony.

Week 4

A gritty warehouse is the location for a topsy-turvy roller derby with Sean and eight of the bachelorettes. Sarah faces another physical challenge that causes her to have emotional breakdown, but Sean proves to be supportive and helps her to try and overcome her fears. All of the women push themselves past their limits until one woman falls hard and is rushed to the hospital. At the after party that night, fireworks erupt as Robyn and Tierra clash, leading one of them to storm off, threaten to leave and then dissolve in tears. It's up to Sean again to comfort the distraught woman and to figure out if the tears are genuine or crocodile, meant to manipulate him into giving her a rose.
